2021.09.16 23:35 Darthgangsta TA on price movement today
Today was a very odd day as far as how the stock moved today. Normally we see it get pummeled in the morning and slowly climb back but never actually moving smoothly.
Today was weird though. It opened with a big green shrek dick that ended just after 10 am hitting 215 and bouncing down to 208 only to come back to 214. Then we see it just slow die until eod where it ended at 206…
So what explains todays movement? And please please please don’t say fuckery or crime. I want to understand the technicals to why it jumped only to end a few bucks up. It was completely different from their typical scripted day. Algos changing?
We still have til tomorrow according to the pomerainian as far as rolls so maybe we some big movement tomorrow? If mods think this isn’t a necessary topic or can point to me where I can find daily TA that would be awesome! Discuss..

2021.09.16 23:35 jprall1207 Portfolio Images?
I’ve been working on some sample blog posts for my portfolio and I’m wondering if I should include images or have it just be the copy. I don’t want use anyone’s images without permission or have to pay for them unless it will better my portfolio. I’m using google docs at the moment just for added info. What should I do?

2021.09.16 23:35 Scarecrow1779 More updated decks (Winding Constrictor, Thundering Djinn, Vizkopa Guildmage, Satyr Enchanter)
As I continue moving decks over from tappedout to moxfield, I've been taking advantage of the opportunity to update some lists. Here's 4 more that had fairly large updates (15+ cards). They don't have updates for the new Innistrad cards yet, but are otherwise up to date.
Winding Constrictor (card Image) (deck list)
Math may be for blockers, but this deck teaches that 1+1 can quickly add up to 3 dead opponents. When I first built Winding Constrictor, I was aiming for a midrange plan that was supposed to be a slightly faster version of [[Corpsejack Menace]]. However, with new proliferate cards from War of the Spark and Modern Horizons 2 (like [[Smell Fear]]), as well as newer repeatable effects like on [[Gnoll Hunter]] and [[Territorial Scythecat]], the deck can lean a lot closer to being a true aggro deck, somewhat consistently killing an opponent on turn 6 (even while holding up one or two mana for interaction half the time). This helps further differentiate Constrictor from Corpsejack Menace.
Some of the larger changes I made included adding a handful more hexproof instants and removal spells and including several creatures that give all my creatures trample if they have +1/+1 counters on them. Both of these help keep on aggressive pressure in spite of blockers or removal, making the deck more consistent. These cards largely replaced spells that cost 5 mana or more, once again allowing this list to lean more in the direction of aggro. On the other hand, several new cards, such as [[Loathsome Chimera]] still give this deck some ability to keep on the pressure in the mid- and late game.
One of my favorite tricks I have pulled off so far with the new version is using [[Pestilence]] to ping [[Urban Daggertooth]] twice on turn 6, allowing me to dole out 14 +1/+1 counters (spread between 3 creatures) while also clearing away some chump blockers. Of the new cards, [[Duel for Dominance]] might be worth including, but I am not sure how consistently we'll be able to satisfy coven, so I'll have to do some testing.
Thundering Djinn (card image) (deck list)
My previous iteration of this deck was a proof of concept, showing that you could draw 20+ cards in a turn, allowing you to one-shot an opponent with the Djinn's attack trigger. This iteration of the deck is trying to make it faster and more capable of protecting the Djinn, while preserving the ability to storm into big Djinn attack triggers. I started by adding a handful of the cheapest counterspells and hexproof spells available, mixing in a few more rummaging/looting abilities and spells, and removing some of my most expensive or situational draw spells. I also mixed in a few treasure-generating spells, such as [[Unexpected Windfall]], since banking extra mana for a storm turn with treasure is much faster than just playing another mana rock. At first I added too many creatures like [[Merfolk Looter]] for the free draws, but had to scale back a bit because I so often didn't have cards I was willing to discard.
The result of including more looting and rummaging is that it takes a little more planning to be able to storm off multiple turns in a row and there's more thought required in advance about how much damage you'll need to deal in coming turns and which spells you should cast now or save. However, with the cheaper sources of card selection, draw, and ramp in the deck now, I was able to cut 3 lands, which helps quite a bit with the consistency of what you draw into while storming off.
This deck will probably also benefit from including one or two of the new flashback cards, such as [[Electric Revelation]] to make the looting effects less generate a tiny bit of card advantage.
Vizkopa Guildmage (card image) (deck list)
This deck's revision was mostly small improvements, replacing older cards with newer, more mana efficient versions. Two of the larger changes were removing small, cheap lifelink creatures and enchantments that gained you 1 life at the beginning of your upkeep. These were generally too little value for taking up a whole deck slot. They got replaced with larger lifelinkers and more card advantage. The goal of the card advantage is to help this deck have enough ways to end the game that even if one or two spells get countered, there's always another high-threat option available.
Some of the more interesting new cards that I added include [[Foreboding Fruit]] and [[Vermin Gorger]]. Fruit fits nicely alongside cards like [[Golden Egg]] and [[Potion of Healing]], which can be played early so you draw cards, then can wait to sacrifice and gain life later, when you're ready to go off. Vermin Gorger is just nice because you can pile 4 more life lost for each opponent while you're going off, at the cost of zero mana. You can also do things in the midgame with it, such as sacrificing the Guildmage out from under removal or auras that would shut down its abilities. Sacrificing with Vermin Gorger in the midgame also helps you inch your opponents into the danger zone without them noticing as much.
Satyr Enchanter (card image) (deck list)
This deck's revision Focused on making it faster and more resilient. Some of the more vanilla buff auras were replaced with enchantment creatures with bestow that could give similar buffs, but could also be creatures if needed (for example, [[Leafcrown Dryad]]). This increase in the creature count allowed me to cut the enchantment recurring and removing creatures, like Auramancer and Ainok Survivalist, replacing them with enchantments that provide protection and removal, like [[Benevolent Blessing]] and [[Minimus Containment]]. I also removed the regeneration auras, like Savage Silhouette, replacing them with a handful of instants that give hexproof, which are both more flexible and cheaper (at the expense of not being enchantments). There were also some auras that, in practice, were more awkward to use than I expected, such as Shield of the Oversoul (because I don't have many multicolor creatures) and Talons of Wildwood (because I never needed to recur it). These were replaced with some triggered abilities meant to let the deck go on the offensive sooner, including [[Harvestguard Alseids]] and [[Captivating Unicorn]]. I also cut two lands to help make room for some ramp in the form of auras and cost reducers, like Wild Growth, Transcendent Envoy, and Starnheim Courser.
There was a lot of give and take in this deck's edits, carefully managing the balance of creatures and enchantments. In the end, I only reduced the total creature count by 1 and was able to increase the number of enchantments in the deck by 6. I also expanded the types of defense mechanisms, moving from narrow options like regenerate and indestructible to more flexible effects, like hexproof and protection.
As a sidenote, when updating these decks, I found a particularly useful scryfall search term. TappedOut doesn't give the exact date you last modified a deck, but for several of these, I knew approximately what set had just come out last time I edited the list. If you put "date>[set]" in the Scryfall advance search bar, you will only see results printed since that set came out. This can take a very daunting search for new cards, and narrow it down to just a few handfuls of possibilities. For example, I used the below to search for all new, common, white or green enchantments printed since Core Set 2019 (link to resulting search)
id<=GW t:enchantment r:c new:rarity date>M19So have you all updated any new decks recently? Is anyone else in the process of moving between deck building sites?
